WRITING 

 

TV and Radio 

Joseph writes scripts for TV, radio and film. 

In 2017, he had his own Radio 4 series, Joseph Morpurgo's Walking Tour - a surrealist collection of audio guides (which you can listen to here)

He has collaborated numerous times with Aardman Animations, writing episodes of Netflix's Shaun The Sheep (2020), as well as a number of internal pilot scripts. 

He has had personal projects in development with Warp Films, Baby Cow, Objective, and Fudge Park. He has also worked as a writer on in-house development projects at Broke N Bones, Tiger Aspect and more. 

Recent writing credits include BBC2's The Amelia Gething Experience (2020), Dave's Comedians Giving Lectures (2020) and BBC Radio 4's Austentatious special (2021).

He has also produced short films for BBC3 and Sky Arts, developed an extensive ‘fake record label’ website project with Blink Industries, and currently has a feature-length film project in development.

He has acted in a number of TV and radio projects, including: the BAFTA-nominated Harry and Paul's Story of the Twos (BBC2), Murder in Successville (BBC3), Drunk History (Comedy Central) and The World of Simon Rich (BBC Radio 4). 

 

Commercial 

Joseph also writes scripts for a range of freelance and commercial projects, specialising in gaming and animation. 

Recent script credits include:

'Tumbleweed' (Blinkink, 2020) - CGI animated short directed by Louis Clichy (Pixar, Asterix). 100 million + views on YouTube.

 

'Chrono' (Passion Pictures, 2021) - CGI animated trailer for FPS Free Fire, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo. 15m + IG views. 

 

'Project Cobra' (Passion Pictures, 2021) - action-driven CGI animated short. 10m + views across multiple languages. 

 

He was also Features Editor of online music platform FACT Magazine for a number of years, writing hundreds of articles, reviews and features, and interviewing the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Disclosure, Tricky, Thundercat, and more. 

Joseph has also worked with agencies including BrandOpus, ODD London and Brokkr, developing pitches and scripts for the likes of Tea India, Princes, Tanqueray and Craft Gin Club.
